Following Family Footsteps To Make This World A Better Place To Live in

Image
By Roperfree  Today, on 4th February 2026, it is exactly two years since our beloved mom, Mrs. Kasumba. Lillian Margaret, departed from us. It's a memorial anniversary to celebrate her contributions to her family, local communities, extended family and the nation. Our mom was a very hard-working prayer warrior plus supported the communities, relatives and churches in various ways from emotional, financial and motivational support. She believed in putting God first and taking actions to solve problems She was a pillar of support in our Dad's businesses as she always worked with him plus us as children. Our mom believed in family values and volunteered as a marriage counselor in various Pentecostal churches. Our home is close to the River Mayanja. We used to fall sick from malaria and our parents, too, and I remember our mother telling us during the story time that earlier, when our dad started doing business, he used to bring fish from Lake Katwe to be sold to the fishmonger in ...

By Roperfree  Every February of each year  marks Black History Month in Canada. It is celebrated to honor the contributions and legacy of Black Canadians while addressing ongoing challenges faced by these communities, serves as a time for reflection, education, and celebration of the significant contributions of Black individuals and communities to Canadian society.                      Honorable Jean Augustine Black History Month came to my attention when my sister Rebecca, who grew up in an entrepreneurial atmosphere because our parents impacted many native black business communities and women during their time in Kampala, Uganda, emailed by encouraging me to register for Black History Month under Vendors Market for Roperfree Brand Products.             Uganda traditional Classic Music  The Cultural Heritage Month Committee will be hosting Black Vendors Markets in February 2026. Afro-Caribbean Organic Foods Are A game Changer in Toronto

Image
By Roperfree  The demand for the Afo-Caribbean food is rising in Canada, especially in Toronto, due to the increased ethnic population mostly from the Caribbean, Africa, South America and Asia. In late November 2025, I received an invitation call from Mr. Tanmoy Ahmed, the Manager of the newly set-up Family Grocery & Convenience selling fresh organic foods targeting the Afro-Caribbean population in Toronto. My profession in Business Marketing was put to the test as I graduated some years ago from Humber College with a Diploma in Business Marketing & also a Certificate from Havard University. I went to have a business meeting with Ahmed as he was interested in getting more foodstuffs from Uganda, marketing his new location to the Ugandan community living in Toronto, and also selling Roperfree Brand products in his store. He offered Roperfree a distribution agreement to supply Uganda foodstuffs from Uganda and this is a great partnership! The store looks very clean, goods wel...

Image
By Roperfree  The increased cases of typhoid and malaria have caused public health concern in Masaka, according to health authorities; the public are advised to use the available preventative tools to fight malaria and typhoid.  Great news is that by the start of this year, 2026, the National Malaria Control Program under the Ministry of Health Uganda has started a national distribution of mosquito bednets & sooner or later, Masaka District will be saved from the rising cases of malaria. The public should be sensitized about practicing good hygiene to prevent the spread of typhoid and using mosquito repellents such as Roperfree mosquito repellent oils on top of sleeping under the bed-nets for maximum protection against mosquito bites and malaria transmission. According to Gabriel Ssembatya the Deputy in Charge of Nakasojo Health Center 3 in Kyanamukaka Sub County in Masaka District, the most vulnerable are children and pregnant mothers due to poor hygiene such as drinking ...
