Uganda’s Free Ebola Declaration will Rise and Shine Tourism Industry

Uganda was declared Ebola free country on January 11, 2023 by the World Health Organization, the announcement came at the right  time when Uganda is trying to recover from bad economy caused by the pandemic lock-downs which lasted almost two years before the economy was fully opened up.
 
 
 Ugandans braced themselves when the World Health Organization declared that Uganda had Ebola disease outbreak caused by the Sudan ebolavirus strain on September 20, 2022 but the government of Uganda handled well the Ebola outbreak with the support of major donor countries of Europe, North-America and WHO.
 

Uganda is the Pearl of Africa because of its beauty by nature, weather, good organic foods, culture and happy, kind friendly people, though shouldn’t be taken for granted because of the degradation of the “Ubuntu” I mean people can’t be trusted anymore as it used to be, the trend of getting rich quickly has influenced the moral & ethical values.
On the other hand, the campaigns to get people back on track are being worked on by various media houses while providing resourceful information and educative programs which Roperfree has been part.
However,WhatsApp groups are/have been created in families, organizations, and local communities to instill moral values, support the vulnerable groups in time of need during sickness, loss of life,wedding meetings and different social gatherings to raise capital, advice & emotional support plus sharing educative resourceful information in order to change the mindset and empower the community.
Tourism and hotel industry will resume flourish because of the Uganda’s free Ebola declaration by the WHO.
