Accelerated Research & Development in New Tools For Malaria Prevention and Treatment is A key

Image
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) says accelerated research and development (R&D) in new tools for malaria prevention and treatment is key if the world is to eradicate malaria in the foreseeable future: today less than 1% of funding for health R&D investment goes to developing tools to tackle malaria. WHO also flags the urgent need for progress to advance universal health coverage and improve access to services, and better surveillance to guide a more targeted malaria response   To achieve a malaria-free world we must reinvigorate the drive to find the transformative strategies and tools that can be tailored to the local situation . Roperfree is taking this path in terms of malaria sensitization campaigns and providing new tools of preventive methods using Roperfree mosquito repellent oils which are user-friendly, All-Natural, organic, great scented and highly effective . W e have witnessed a number of progress

Uganda Plans To Fight Malaria Using Genetically Modified Mosquitoes

Image
By Roperfree The Ugandan government plans to breed genetically-modified mosquitoes as part of a plan to fight malaria in Africa. To this end Kampala will establish an insectarium, where research on breeding these mosquitoes to spread a genetic mutation that is lethal to its own malaria-causing species will be conducted.  This development will complement the current methods being used to control and prevent the spread of malaria, including anti-malarial drugs and mosquito nets. Of the 3 000 species of mosquitoes on planet earth, including 800 in Africa, only three species cause malaria. If the modified mosquitoes are proven to be safe and effective they will be released in areas plagued by malaria across Africa with their mutation eventually sterilizing all the females and subsequently reducing the population of the dangerous mosquitoes. The research is being carried out by a consortium of several research organizations across Africa, overseen by th
