By Roperfree Back to school activities coincides with malaria sensitization campaign in Kampala slums organized by the office of the woman councilor Kawempe (NUP) Sharon Kemugisha & her friends; Dan Luwuge , Roperfree, Maama Africa, local chairman & councilors. The go back to school campaign in Katanga slums which took place today January 20, 2022 was intended to support the vulnerable children with scholastic materials, offer bursaries, mosquito repellent oils, and sensitization campaign to the parents and their children in regards to good childcare & behavior while providing resourceful information to fight against malaria and COVID-19 in the area. Katanga has more than 20,000 slum dwellers with more than 50% children and most which are primary school dropout due to the prevailing poverty but by offering bursaries is one way of keeping the children at school and many suffer from diseases such as; malaria, dysentery and the outbreaks of cholera during the rainy sea

COVID-19 has no specific prescribed medicines yet but many people are using herbal concoctions and eating balanced diet foods and drinks such as; herbal teas to fight against the virus.  After Christmas holidays on December 27, 2021 one of the members of Roperfree was diagnosed with COVID-19 and soon she was put on special diet foods, with lots of vegetables and fruits plus herbal teas while taking few drops of Aromatherapy oils was put to test to keep the virus at bay not to develop such serious condition.  Miraculous within 3 days without cough, cold, fever and running nose the patient was feeling well but she had to obey the Ontario public health regulations to keep quarantining herself up to 10 days.
