Milcah’s Journey from USA to Motherland “Uganda” to Retrace African Roots

By Milcah

My Journey to self discovery led me all the way to Uganda to retrace my African Roots and search for my African ancestry. On that journey I discovered my love for ancient African architecture. I loved the idea of living in a round house I thought to myself this is something that is very cultural and when it comes to building myself my 1st home it look like the cheapest way to go!

So I brought up the crazy idea to my husband and he automatically shut the idea down. He said it’s old school, no one does that in Uganda! And it's not possible! I told him that there can be a modern twist to it, but he insisted that it can't work in today's world. But I insisted and I was determined to prove to him that a round house does indeed work and I had inner feelings that one day I will find one in Uganda. The spiritual universe was so strong and I could not resist it.
Just recently I got a divine connection with Mr. Joseph Kawooya-Kasumba and his wife Monalisa; they are entrepreneurs like me and we share the same vision of investing in our nation by developing it through our entrepreneurship ventures. They invited me to their lovely home and the very 1st thing I noticed upon entering their compound was a very magnificent round house!

I was so excited and I said surely a divine hand has led me here today. There it was a real round house, very modern made of murrum soil bricks, perfectly tiled on the interior and painted to perfection. I quickly took a picture and sent it over to my husband and to his amazement he saw something he never thought was possible before and his mind was instantly changed. So what is the moral of the story? Dreams do come true and God always aligns you with the people who are needed to assist you in making them happen.

The enterprising couple do train and mentor new entrepreneurs by offering resourceful information and sharing ideas and they build low cost houses using ISSB’s bricks up to the roofing stage plus selling ISSB bricks and machines at affordable rates including free training and delivery.

They also provide accommodation to travelers, tourists, and holiday makers at their fabulous” Jkm Vacation Rentals Accommodation with all utilities and amenities in place check on them at: Airbnb.com or Tripadvisor.com

Jkm has good ambience environment. very natural, tropical paradise atmosphere, it would be a very good Safari with my children when my husband comes for Xmas holidays!
