Canadians of Ugandan Communities on the Trend to Develop Africa “Akon’s Style”
By Roperfree
Canadians of Ugandan origins living in Toronto are on the road to make Africa a success story because they believe in themselves despite their differences.
Wealth is from God and it starts with wisdom and knowledge and I bet there is no wealthy person on earth who has never experienced wisdom and knowledge please leave alone that College or university degree or diploma but in real life acquiring a massive wealth is a talent plus skill & if you are doubting me ask; Jeff Bezo Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Warren Buffet, Oprah Winfrey, Jack Mark, Sudhi Ruperellia, Ham Kiggundu, Charles Mbiire, Patrick Bitature, Mulwana, Mukwano etc, these people have one thing in common that they believe in themselves and in whatever they do & they treat mistakes as learning curve, though they do not take things for granted & are willing to adapt to new atmospheres by understanding what the customers want.
I am honored to know Charles Mbiire and Patrick Bitature in person the gentlemen have not amassed their wealth over night! Have worked hard and dedicated to make a positive impact by giving solution to the problem in return of wealth creation, wisdom, understanding business dynamics and turning challenges into blessings landed them to be where they are now!
Africa has a golden chance in this era to rise and shine again as it was in a period of Mansa Musa who had an estimated value of $400 billion and is the richest person who ever lived. Born in 1280, Mansa Musa was ruler of the Malian Empire, and acquired the most part of his wealth from the production and trade of salt and gold, more than half of the world’s supply at the time in fact. Trading is a lucrative business as to witness that my late Dad “Kasumba-Roperfree Dad” the locals nicknamed him “Busega Bill Gates & sometimes Kabale Busega” was a prominent business man and a trader and I could say that he acquired substantial wealthy which is going on with generation and legacy attached to it and as Africans we have to be innovative, hardworking and above all to have integrity in whatever we are laying hands on in order to compete with the Asians, Europeans or Jewish. Please let’s leave politics alone because God created everyone with a purpose and we are the greatest human capital to take on the abundance of wealth created for us.
Roperfree salutes to all who are transforming people’s lives in whatever sectors they are engaged in and the onus is on us to transform our people’s lives rather than to wait for the saviors who will never come and I send my tribute my friend and colleague the founder of UCDA Mr. Kisitu Archilles a Canadian Citizen of Ugandan origin who always encourages us in reference to the proverbs 28.19 whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits will have plenty of poverty. Ugandans in Toronto have learnt to tolerant each other despite the political, religious, tribal, clan differences but that would be great maturity beyond Canadian borders to all Ugandans around the world to embrace the trend of “Ubuntu” togetherness as it would be a big step in advancing ourselves though we can agree or disagree with each but we should remain the same by giving each other due respect, dignity, humane and civil without violating each other fundamental human rights. Roperfree applauds the Ugandan Community in Canada under the Ugandan at Heart, UCDA & UCCT for showing great respect to each other despite their differences.
