The go back to school campaign in Katanga slums which took place today January 20, 2022 was intended to support the vulnerable children with scholastic materials, offer bursaries, mosquito repellent oils, and sensitization campaign to the parents and their children in regards to good childcare & behavior while providing resourceful information to fight against malaria and COVID-19 in the area.

Katanga has more than 20,000 slum dwellers with more than 50% children and most which are primary school dropout due to the prevailing poverty but by offering bursaries is one way of keeping the children at school and many suffer from diseases such as; malaria, dysentery and the outbreaks of cholera during the rainy season.
