Roperfree Donated Mosquito Repellents To Support Fight Against COVID-19
By Roperfree
Roperfree donated 175 packs of mosquito repellents to
support COVID-19 fight in Uganda. Decision was made after the presidential call
to all who can support to fight the common enemy "COVID-19" which is causing a
lot of catastrophe, mostly in the Western World and Asia.
The mosquito repellents will be sent to the teams
working at the boarder posts who are largely exposed to mosquito bites said Dr.
Diana Atwine who received the donation from the country manager of Roperfree;
Mona Kawoya Kasumba alongside Dr. Jimmy Opigo the Assistant Commissioner of
Uganda National Malaria Control Program at their headquarters in Kampala on
April 29, 2020.
According to the recent presidential speech, Uganda
has not received any new home cases except from the cross boarder truck drivers
and the infections are no longer spreading and possible scenario could be that
people who aren’t getting sick, get sick but the body builds its own
immune system to fight off the disease or the possibility that people could be
dying of underlying illness associated with COVID-19 example; blood pressure, diabetes
etc. but all that is being followed, according to the Ministry of health the
country has not had any single death related to COVID-19.
Roperfree repellent oils are easy to apply,
versatile, mobile, and affordable plus can be used anytime unlike mosquito bed
nets which can be used during night sleep time so the front-line health workers will
find them useful during the course of their work and will greatly improve their
working environment conditions to perform better without worrying of mosquito
bites or getting malaria.
