Fighting Malaria With Herbal Oils
CEO & Founder of Roperfree
Roperfree mosquito repellent oils provide an
effective solution in the battle against malaria which is causing 100,000
deaths per year in Uganda according to the Ministry of Health, the repellent
oil is first of its kind to be produced & used to fight malaria. It is
versatile made with herbal essential
oils & user friendly as it does not need any complimentary functionality to be used, According to the
Ministry of Health a high burden of malaria among others is a key challenge to
both human and economic development namely; health, social and economic
development. Once the reduction in
malaria is achieved via Roperfree mosquito repellent s will stimulate the
economy and poverty reduction. Malaria is associated with poverty and stagnant
economies.
Roperfree Has the Potential to Be Better Than Other Ways of
Addressing the Malaria Challenge
There are few preventative measures in place
&the main one is the insecticidal mosquito treated bed nets which are not
effective enough because only useful at night sleep but do not cater people
working, studying, praying, clubbing, socializing during night time, there are
reports of rejection for various reasons such as; allergies, lack of beds,
people resistant to use chemicals & many have been misused turning them as
fishnets, wedding veil, scare crews & farm fences. (2) indoor & residue
spraying use of DDT & other chemicals such as; carbamates & pyrethroids
are being rejected due to the environment impact so the best alternative is our
repellent oil which is organic, no chemicals & affordable as Uganda’s PPP of $1820
so everyone can afford it a 60ml bottle of 5000sh or $1.3 month
Roperfree Mosquito Repellent Oil Is Making a Positive Impact
As a high burden of malaria is a key challenge to
both human and economic development
namely; health, social and economic, so repellent oils being a life savior
could stop deaths of people thus
preserving human capital who create wealth and development of the
nation. Ugandan economy has been losing $658,200,599 ($24.8 per capita due to cases
of malaria the total consisted $ 49, 122, 349 (7%) direct cost and $609,078209
(92%) indirect cost of productivity
losses- Once people’s lives improve that is the productivity increase which
creates the economic growth, so the repellents oils will ease the burden of
people falling sick, reduce medical cost, improved education as student won’t
miss school because of malaria and overall agriculture sector to grow as it
will stimulate herbal growth in the communities thus creating jobs, and other employment sectors will grow in form
of chain of distribution, from farming to point of sale either in store or
using online platform, so the job creation will reduce poverty and people to
become self sustainable, the tourism industry
will also grow further as in Uganda almost there was no repellent of
that type.
