Metfloquine-Anti Malaria Drug Sparks Law Suit To Canadian Veterans
By Roperfree Canadian veteran soldiers who went overseas in Sub-Saharan countries like; Somalia, Congo, Uganda etc.. in the early 1990’s and given an-anti-malaria drug called Mefloquine, it is reported that it caused them side effects and are making a mass law suit against the federal government of Canada which is accountable for their health conditions. The scenario is that the Metfloquine drug was on clinical trial and little was known that it ha d severe side-effects which can range from nausea, diarrhea & muscle weakness to vivid dreams to include psychotic behaviors, suicidal thoughts, paranoia & anxiety.
